Its interesting that states are starting to go hard core on succeeding from the union under the term of a black president. Of course the reasons that states were a little shy to try this before out in the open (many have succeeded mafia style where they just do it but don't actually change any laws on the books) is they didn't want to grant any white man group the kind of power that once invoked has a tendency not to be revoked quickly.
I guess they don't believe a black man can wield that kind of power or that he would have enough support if he tried it.
