The US is a young country. We have not learned as a whole that legendary behaviours manifest in all human populations when large quantities of alchohol are consumed regularly by large amounts of sexually inflamed women while young men are around to drive them into a frenzy. In this state of mind, men get torn to pieces, it starts, usually accidentally, with the removal of the testicles, then panic leads to the need to hide the remains, the best way to do so is for the women who lost their turn due to the acciednt to chase the hapless victim down and pull chunks of his flesh off and eating them until nothing is left of him but shattered and scattered bones.
Sometimes fools encourage this behaviour to study it, and to think they can guide it in some "useful" direction.
