Yesterday I tried to sign on a new apartment well within my budget. I had been told I got the apartment and that it was available and I payed 70 dollars to apply for it and my aplication for that specific apartment was accepted. When I went to sign on it with money in hand, I was told it had never been available and that I could have a smaller less comfortable apartment if I wanted. I said no. When I questioned why things had changed and looked the woman in the eyes she looked away from me and coughed.
It was a one bedroom garden apartment at Colonial Crest apartments. That I was told was available to me on Feb 2 and on Feb 12 I was told no one bedroom gardens had ever been available. I was clear on my aplication that I wanted a garden apartment and that I was giving 70 dollars to aply for that apartment.
If it wasnt available they shouldnt have taken my money.
But I suspect that if I had signed on it they would have taken me for more than that amount.
