Hallie Selasie

When the Makkans were killing and torturing muslims in the early days of the revelation to Prophet Muhammad saws some early muslims fled to abbasynia which today is known as Ethiopia and Eretria. They were given shelter by the Negus who was the ancestor of the Emperors of Ethiopa, the last of which was Hallie Selasie.
It was not an uncommon practice for people in those times, durring periods of uncertainty, to leave children for fosterage in more stable nations before returning to places of war.
During WWI Ethiopia was hit with such an extreem genocide by the Italian army, who used nerve gas and poisons on the population that the last emperor Hallie Selasie went on an international trip to all the leaders of the European nations in an effort to show them the nobility and humanity of his people and of all the people's of the "lesser" or "older" nations. His trip was a complete failure and all his lions died.
People in Jamaca and Africa thought of him as a prophet though he never said anything like that about himself. He was just a champion of a cause and I think that is what makes him an interesting historical figure.
Some jealous women might try to twist my interest in him to suit their agendas, and they will be fed to lions who fared well.
