Whenever a person of color in Indiana doesnt know their place, begins thinking that the rules are the same for all citizens not based on color, religion, childhood exploitation, or phyisical scaring, they loose their job, home, educational opportuntities and ability to socialize without harrassment.
If anyone complains a litany of their probable personal faults is recited to them by a chior whether they approach in person, on the phone, or in writing. Everyone agrees that this person has no merit worth mention and is scum and their case is discarded.
But aparantly breathing lies against the innocent and teaching others how to wear them down or facilitating the process through words is damaging to the lungs which reject the use, all things being creatures of allah.
It used to bother Julia that the whites who put her in office didnt want to groom her grandson to take her place, not merely in congress but in keeping the black man down. That is the fatal flaw in racism, you dont want your niggers to inherit even if they are loyal and obedient and are serving you well. Because the next one will feel some entitlement, or you will feel some guilt or something like that.

Julia was good for setting up centers where blacks could go to show the whites they know their place, that they can play music, dance and sing while waiting to accept whatever was offered to them. Sometimes they would have to hurt themselves or their children to prove their tollerance. But even places like these have a limit. Whites dont want to accept blacks under any circumstances, and if they had too many well subjugated blacks waiting for a meager improvment they might stand the chance of all of them losing their patience with this form of interaction so they did tire of Julia's requests for more such centers.
While no one was championing civil rights many people got completely shut out of the system. Even good natured people with some qualities were being shut out of the established testing and placing centers and this was causing growing resentment. While people were getting shot on their couches while watching football on sunday for no reason at all, Julia wanted more centers, had no inrouts with the people controling the hostility, and even if she did, the numbers of youngbloods out of control were increasing daily and there is no way of explaining to them at all atleast for the first little while.
Civil rights and employment are not expendable. You have them or you have race war. Although in Indy, the lack has gone on for so long you dont have race war, you have slave insurection, and no one can do anything at all about that but let it burn out.
