I heard a lot of stories from my real family growing up about who and why we are.
It used to be in Japan that people had a lot ofprivacy sort of. And people could experiment with religions. But there was a samurai war that was bloody enough to get particular attention. When it was discovered to be over an abducted daughter who was now the wife of another Samurai people wanted to know "whats the deal? he doesnt mis treat her" and well, the explantion didnt go very well at all. Her father explained that they were muslims and the girl could not marry a non muslim. And the response was "but he's japanese, isnt that enough" and when they said no they were told to renounce their religion which they refused to do. Eventually it was decided to split up the families so that some of them would be raised in non discript religions and the rest could remain muslim and move somewhere else. It wasnt one sided, japan efectively split in two with an essential gene pool leaving the islands for life in the larger world.
When the anti christain wars at the beginning of the forbidden period killed all members of the unique families that had remained behind, an order was sent out by ship to all the far flung familes to return. It was late in ariving, so that the blockade was already being inforced. In addition, it was worded such that the intended recipients were of a rank that they would have no recource to make excuses about not returning on time.
So the message was blown off, returned as if it had never been read.
But since the end of the forbidden period, people have become well aware that we are still out here. And there have been a lot of defectors.
Important requested amendment
Those of us who settled down in one spot and compromised with the non muslim world around us ceased to be japanese. We keep track of them till they run out of genes that interest us. Those of us who did not compromise remained Japanese.
When we heard that those who remained behind were killed we realized that we should have no shame about disobedience to any but allah and that allah had judged those who stayed for the sake of "maintaining the japanese identity". We have that and took it with us. We had it with us before we went to the islands later known as Japan and we will have it with us when the megachamber under Fuji throws the world into a year of night and winter. We also took no Fujiwaras with us. Coincidence?
