Although all women can be raised in a feminine role without additions and subtractions the resources are not available to give each one the attention they need to grow up with good character if we tell them they are women and let them be pretty. It takes a lot less resources to give them each a nut and name them Larry or Abdullah. It doesnt change that they are women, and it doesnt really put off most men, and though many still complain a little that their wives and consorts dont look like princesses, some are honest enough to say they prefer comon women, atleast when dealing with their own romantic tendencies.
In the past, royal and emperial families could support the upbringing of hundreds or thousands of princesses each, and many lesser noble familes could raise a handfull or two, but these days those of us who dont have mafia backing end up on the streets or in bad circumstances, as we arent the kind of women people like to champion equality for and in this the common women are much more adapted, as they can work at men's jobs.
There are still some men who can only feel like they arent slumming with a princess. Some of these men have the ability to make us all feel like they have a reasonable chance of setting up a situation where more of us can be raised, but there will always be more common women than princesses, and this is probably for the best, as it tends to cut down on vanity, which requires constant vigilance by self and others to keep in check. For this reason, common women with better character or with a good idea of how a princess should act and what should be expected of her, while at the same time who understood how they were different and at the same time didnt look to garish in dress similar to that of a princess were employed in great numbers. But still despite careful selection, character in these women was more important than apearance and men who came to court the princesses were told not to look to closely at the attending women or it would put them off their feed.
