I didn't make any friends until I went to China, then I made one (and she was bred specifically for the purpose). Before that there were people who came over when I called them, did things with me, shared information and assistance sometimes but they didnt want to get close and I never worried about it.
After China, I met people I wanted to be friends with but there were too many race issues in the US. I met a lot of people who could stay on that wavelenth but they couldnt do it with me around. And because of the race issues, the people who used to hang around, or the kind of people, couldnt hang around with me.
So Im not focusing on that, but instead am focusing on the non friend, non companion types, who have many enemies that they have earned around the world. These are people who imposed on the hospitality and resources of many people for many fabricated reasons, only they never did what they said they would and always did what the people had been warned against. I'm studying smiley the racist, and reparsing thier linguistic behaviors.
So unless you are applying for a job as a lab assistant, and there may be a few of those around you never know, I'm probably not going to show much interest except to wonder what change in the weather brought your type of person in. Oh and informants, if you see something interesting, and Im in the local reserves.
