In the talk over the years about my situation and whether anyone should do anything about it, people have frequently pointed out that in childhood a lot of Tibetan, Mongolian and Japanese children are hard to distinguish from Caucasian children, unless people are doing inappropriate examination with knowledge of south pacific brothel situations involving adult Japanese women. What is typically not pointed out to people in Japan especially is that in the US in most or many normal neighborhoods at the economic level that you will never see these people outside the US except possibly in the military and then they typically don't have many chats on many topics with the locals at all, its pretty much guaranteed that people will be doing inappropriate examinations of young children.
Now that I'm maturing enough that my appearance isn't ambiguous at all in any lighting, people are going so far as to say I'm not the same child that they knew before, and yesterday I heard exasperated comments about my dental work that included the pulling of four teeth and orthodontic work. Tommy said they also did impressions in 99 among other exams.
Anyway, people wonder whether it was intentional on the part of the people who stayed in Japan to make adult Japanese women of a certain appearance available for foreign examination and from what I understand of how some classes operate I'm sure it was.
