There used to be a merchant franchise that dealt with people living several days climb from the roads that sent raw herbs to people out there, but it disappeared decades ago. Its one of the things I have in the fruit loop favor bag to get that going again. I was trying to think about how to meet the right price point for Mongolia when I was watching a thing about Kyrgyz people living in that fingerlike pass linking Afghanistan to China and realized they were a market that would benefit from something like that since they need things to trade wool for. I think we will come in from the China side though.
I also thought about all those bottles out on the steppes and sending just the bulk herbs would be a better way since I have the right market share that I don't have to pay a premium for raw materials and nobody out there wants the presentation herbs anyway. I probably wont sell them much licorice though and they probably wont pay for ready combined preparations either.
