Surviving In Bad Neighborhoods

We didnt bring slavery to Bloomington. We did however come from a background steeped in exposure to enslavement and had been fighting a series of wars to end it. It was odd to arrive in a "free" country only to see some of the most base forms of slavery embeded in the everyday normal interactions to such a level that to not be a slave was almost a fatal condition.
Many people have developed the skills of enslavement just to survive, without any special training in it. Its like moss and lichen in that it has several natural phases that look like different creatures but is one organism. When people like us encounter this kind of life form, we try to find the structures in the system that are meant to deal with it, like education, employment, law enforcement, law creation. If those things are inaccessable, we have to survive.
We arent rock growing lower life forms and wont die to suit words witout meaning parroted by those who dont see us as alive at all.

People in Bloomington only seem more attentive than those of Terre Haute. They were already being used poorly as sensors and since they had a lot of faculties left over we were able to add to their uses.

A lot of things are going on here. Its like a chain reaction. The day I was sitting in Gerald Olson's office with Sally Jones and I was hypnotized in some way that stripped me of the ability to see IU as a benificial nusiance I must cooperate with to get what I want but instead as "the man" to be resisted, I also hypnotized them to not only think more surely that they were infalable, but to spread that feeling to all they comported. People lost the ability to look for warning signs, they became obsessed with scapegoating people who posed no threat to them, they became conviced they could fabricate a threat other people would take seriously but that that threat really wasnt here. In doing so they created the conditions in which that kind of threat could grow but they have no idea who it is because they arent looking at anyone except people they feel defy race seperation.

I saw Obama's scouts out today, they stook out like sore thumbs, just cause they hadnt been made aware of their "place". I doubt he will be coming here, this town is just too spooky.
