The police in Indiana know better than to pursue justice blindly due to an incident in northern Indiana a few years back when an officer refused to back down when hinted at that he should and came home to find his family murdered and himself implicated in the crime. No one would help him for fear of the same.
In addition, you cannot get a warrant against a white on the word of a non white in most places in Indiana, or against a christian on the word of a non christian. This is because of the judges. However, you can get a warrant against the black if they are wearing anything that has a color on it, or if they are stark naked.
To infranchise the police you have to be more fearsome than the judges and jurries, or you have to change the judges and the jurries. Of cource any who have had their hearts in the current situation wont respond to that but there is an unacceptable level of violence throughout the nation.
It is this situation that made Indy the city it is today with four or five children getting shot a year with guns they found in their parents bedrooms, stray bullets going through living room walls, sometimes striking people as they watch tv, families gunned down in their homes (no organized group does this) and too many people involved in crime and violence only because there is nothing else for them and no reality in the concept that you keep your nose clean and you will be safe from the law or any sense that you can seek justice if the law is broken against you.
