I really did hear about polydactili a lot more often than one would expect in the cource of normal conversation for most of my adult life. It got so bad that at one point arrangements were made to take me and drop me off in Key West but the Conchies objected.
What has sickly disturbed so many people about this situation, myself included, is that while everyone knows about the fingers and other apendages, I could never convince anyone I was really an english teach or that I had never had an abortion. How can everyone "know" so much when they really know nothing? I consider that a business question, and human resources question and a national security question. It may also be a medical question as well.
I sprained my ankle in tennessee, where all 7 of normal 5 bones could be seen on my exray, the doctor did mention it to me though I was confused by it. I didnt say anything to anyone else, except a few times when the broached the topic first.
*after I got the exrays people got a bit more hostile towards me. These were people who talked a lot about oxycontin and Bevard Co Florida a lot. But though I suspected that they sprained my ankle on purpose and hypnotized me to make me think it was a horse related injury, I think when they saw I had so many ankle bones they realized those exrays would do them no good and that any kind of distinction was bad for doctorshopping pain pills. I wouldnt have gone along with it anyway, and didnt even want to sell the codine I got, but I also felt like with days like these even if I dont take all of them now, I will probably need them again later, though I didnt and I left them behind when I left tennessee. That same day they also put large scratch marks on my upper left arm, making my entire family furious and it has come back to haunt everyone looking for other kinds of work*
