When I heard this story I was so surprised that trying to remember it, I had to make several tries over a few years.
When they went to find an embreyo to become the emperor, they went to the ancient vault and found it destroyed. There was nothing there anymore. But soon they realized what had happened. When the Jesuits first came to Japan, poor translations and wishful thinking caused all the families that were avoiding certain births to stop avoiding them and to send them to the new christian colonies where they could get jobs and status without concern for their apearance and ancestory. But as time went on and the Jesuits tried harder to get people to understand better what they really meant to say, more skilled translators came and decided there was no way they were going to tell these people or their families any of that. One of the leaders of the people who were basically making up their own thing and blaming it on the Jesuits was my husband. Of cource when I heard he was associated with the chrisitians at all ever I was very surprised, and when I changed persona and reacted from another part of my mind, I was shocked about what the christians did to Jesus and his people.
It had been the intention of the Jesuits all along to empty to vault and then to put the hecks into hollowed ground where they only way out would be conception by similar parents, and then like in europe they intended to kill off all the potential parents. But the Japanese governments figured out too much too fast, and after they had been forced to kill all these people over bad translations and misperceptions, they chased out the Jesuits too fast to put them in hallowed ground, and then they kept the whole thing as quiet as they could and families stoped talking about these relatives, forgot their stories for the most part. A few would still come out from time to time, but the practice of aranging marriages prevented them most of the time.
So when the need arose for a new emperor, they sent heck collectors out to the place my husband was most likely burried in order to help things along as they had forgotten how to attract him the other way. But in so doing they brought the Jesuits back, who locked down every site they felt might contain the remains of what they were now publicising as the "christian martyrs".
