The decision to get into cars changed the circumstances of some of my extended family immensely as they were very much involved in the horse trade. They lived in places where the type of food available for horses made them all look a certain way regardless of ancestry. In most ways this was a good thing as it allowed very valuable horses to be sent there for training without any worry that they would be stolen and once the trained young adult horses were back with their owners they would quickly fill out and transform back into an appearance consistent with their original breed.
In time a secondary interest in horses developed but the kinds of horses hobbyists wanted were not the kinds of practical functional horses my extended family trains. However, things are changing again.
Its never a good idea to move anyone in a dependent state under any circumstances except dire need. Modern China also decided it probably isn't a good idea to break completely from the old, and as they are in the process of expanding their equestrian program, they might find it in their best interests to become more tolerant of my family's so called eccentricities. While for some people it is possible to see that though many traits are common to the point that nearly all of us have about a thousand doubles everyone grouped together in some circumstances also have a level of similarity not in appearance but maybe best defined as capacity it is not even very difficult to put together a group similarly matched from more problematic individuals in places where they cause trouble so that no one seems to move at all in some places while other people disappear without incident in others. In some cases where people need to move as a family unit their appearances are so varied no one would notice though there will still be some need for adjustments. But as long as you keep people in horses you can stop by for other needs in the usual manner and without the uniforms and accouterments it won't look like what it is. Conversely, National Geographic and university interests are only searching the world for satanists, not only will they not complain if our group gets replaced by the charlatans we are treated like, I don't even think many people would notice and those who do can come with in some capacity or another.
When people like my husband take a wife of a tantric nature not just a member of the support crew it really looks odd if we don't have a family on our side of the aisle. But the kind of wedding people like us have indicates to people that we are joining a new epoch of modern activity. If anyone who is supposed to be there is not there, we will be forced to separate again and I for one don't think I can go through that again, but even if we aren't off so much as that we will miss people who aren't part of our lives.
It's not necessary to have everyone around just to make sure that if something happens to me Mom has the right to make decisions in my behalf and the other way around, or in case someone spies on us they don't get too confused but in the case of a real wedding that indicates bringing a new member into our family at a high status, everyone needs to be there in the right places, not shoved in somewhere like we are still in transit but in a functional position and in a comfortable way of life.
