Keyboard Variations

Dad explained to me that the best metaphor for the difference in the way we see the world compared to others is to think about a keyboard. The plurality of people think in a qwerty keyboard style. They have a standard number of keys with universally agreed to meanings and they describe all things based on this set of tools, they also only perceive what can be described by this tool. He said its not natural but that people within a certain range respond to being focused on this way of seeing and describing things. This is a plurality of people and the next largest group of people have far fewer keys on their keyboards, in fact 98% of the school educated people on this planet are working a qwerty keyboard or less. The 2% who are working more work a lot more. We have maybe 100 times or more the number of keys on our keyboards, or we see much more variation in the world and have the ability to describe a lot more detail. An odd paradox to this though is that many people who think they are working unique patterns with their qwerties are actually working standard patterns as viewed by those of us with more detailed outlooks, because just because you cant perceive on that level doesn't mean you cant act on that level. People think they are typing different words but we can see enough to know that the gross typing they do means nothing in terms of what they really did, will do, mean or even want you to think, while what they type on a finer keyboard though they dont perceive themselves doing it says a lot more. Because they are focused on one level of typing they put effort into avoiding typing certain kinds of things or trying to do unique things on that level. But on the level they cant see they are typing typical patterns that are easy for us to see and explain to others within the awarenesses that they have even saying things solely using the qwerty that though possible for the qwerty restricted are unlikely to ever be said by them.
*some people who have a higher key count are hard to home in on the qwerty world, however, though the qwerters nit pick our behavior when they have a real problem they come to us, and nit pick again when its time for compensation, so though we have techniques we can use to make more higher functioning people relate better to the qwertworld, instead we have taught you techniques on how to make five keyers seem more payworthy*
