Donny isn't particularly happy about the whole nose ring thing. There's nothing we can do, if she doesn't wear one they will say she just never cared, never took things seriously and is very non traditional. Yes, we knew this would be necessary when we put her in the roles she has had to take. But the alternative is a lot worse. When she was little her Dad gave her my ring to carry, it wasn't obtrusive though it did change her shape as she grew. No one new about it unless they knew where to look and she expects that her own ring would be similar but it wouldn't be. If we were going to put her own ring there it would be a non penetration ring that would be visible even if we let her cover it which we wouldn't.
As for the nose rings, they are on all our family relatives who we are marking as non free but still associated, meaning the Under Brothers will eventually have them too (which leads to another discussion I need to remember to start) but Ridge wanted me to tell everyone that the angelic part is just a dumb bell and it isn't that visible without the decorative part which can be changed to match mood, work schedule or changing roles.
He also wanted me to say it doesn't hurt that much and that Donny pierced herself though the nerves that run through that area and if they aren't hit the pain subsides pretty quickly and its no more annoying than boogers which I tend to find intolerable but oddly only when I am alone, so its really not that bad.
If Donny doesn't get the nose ring people will have to say she was a free person who reneged on oaths and that causes a lot of problems that are avoided if we say no, she was always a slave girl doing what she was told.
*Dad mentioned to me that to fully participate I would need to comply with some standards which at the time seemed too much to force on me, I've changed since then so it makes more sense, but the Dimitry and Sergay personas have their limits too which in coming decades will be challenged, at which point development as their real selves will become more conceivable*
